Several of the project’s associates gathered at INESC TEC’s headquarters, in Porto, to close on the methods used, shared data from the different countries involved and present some preliminary results.
Data sharing intends to prepare tools to supply complementary guidelines that can help the European system operators to face the challenges of massively integrate distributed resources, such as photovoltaic panels, electric vehicles and other flexible charges.
SmartGuide is a project developed by the Centre for Power and Energy (CPES) of INESC TEC, and financed in the scope of the inniciative ERA-Net SmartGris+.
The role of INESC TEC in this project is to develop an optimization instrument to plan intelligent networks with a multicriteria analysis, aiming to minimise investments and operations costs, and maximise the integration of renewable energy sources.
The researchers involved in this project are Filipe Joel Soares, Bruna Tavares, Fabian Heymann, André Madureira, Nuno Fonseca and Manuel Matos.
The researchers mentioned in this news piece are associated with INESC TEC and UP-FEUP.
