SGEVlab celebrates its 10th anniversary

Debate on electric mobility will be broadcast online and will include leaders from industry and academia.
The Laboratory of Smart Grids and Electric Vehicles celebrates 10 years in December. In this sense, it is organising a debate focusing on the impact and relevance of this infrastructure in the energy sector.
Under the motto “V2G - is it the right time?”, Luís Seca (member of INESC TEC's Executive Board), João Peças Lopes (Associate Director of INESC TEC), Nikos Hatziargyrou (professor at the National Technical University of Athens), João Torres (CEO of EDP Distribuição) and Nuno Silva (CTO of the EFACEC group) will talk about the next decade’s challenges in the energy field, starting the debate with an analysis of the joint achievements of industry and research in terms of smart grids and electric mobility.
The session is scheduled for December 14 and will be broadcast online between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. (Lisbon time). Registration is free, but mandatory.

With six active patent applications and a total investment of over €8M over the last 10 years, the Laboratory is an international reference regarding innovation in energy efficiency. More than 35 researchers from 10 different countries have worked there, resulting in 10 national and European projects, 81 scientific publications, and nine Ph.D. theses.
